Youth will learn how to use the artistry of their words to express their hopes and heartaches. This camp will focus on the basics of both the writing and performance aspects of spoken word. It is designed as a true introduction to the art form and youth who are interested (but perhaps intimidated) are highly encouraged to register! To conclude this camp and the whole summer session, we will host a community performance at Sister Sludge on Friday, Aug. 17 from 7-8pm- family, friends and community will be invited to attend.

Taught by local spoken word artists, Symone Brielle and Zay Schaefer, who both serve on the Youth Advisory Board for TruArtSpeaks.
